The essentials at a glance

Mouse treatment combines trapping and secured baiting with systematic proofing of entry points, without which the infestation simply rebuilds itself. Discreet and prolific, the house mouse squeezes through a 6 mm hole and gets by on crumbs. AntinuisiblePro works in private homes, residential blocks and commercial premises across the Val-de-Marne.

AntinuisiblePro handles your Mouse control in Champigny-sur-Marne and across the whole Val-de-Marne (94). Discover our service and pick your town.

How to spot a mouse infestation

  • Small dark droppings (3–6 mm) in cupboards, drawers and along walls
  • Faint scratching noises in walls or the ceiling at night
  • Gnawed food packaging, cardboard or textiles
  • A characteristic smell of urine and greasy marks along skirting boards

Why you shouldn't let mice settle in

Discreet and prolific, mice contaminate food with their urine and droppings, gnaw cables and insulation — a fire risk — and spread bacteria such as salmonellosis. As a female can have several litters a year, a few individuals soon become a colony.

The mice we treat

  • The house mouse (Mus musculus): the species that lives alongside us in our homes, present all year round.
  • The wood mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus), which comes in from the garden as soon as the cold weather arrives.
  • The vole, which stays in the garden but invites itself into outbuildings and sheds.
  • Young mice, whose small size lets them slip through even narrower openings.

Understanding mice better

A house mouse weighs around twenty grams, gets through a 6 mm hole, climbs up a cable and jumps some thirty centimetres. The female has up to eight litters a year of five to eight young, mature within six weeks: a handful of individuals becomes a population in a single season. Unlike rats, mice nibble at a great many points without ever taking a proper meal, which is why a single baited trap means nothing to them. They drink very little and can make do with the water in their food — so removing water sources is never enough to drive them out.

Our mouse-control method

  1. Inspection of runs, nests and food sources
  2. Traps and secure bait stations suited to mice
  3. Sealing of holes and cracks, even the smallest, to block access
  4. Follow-up visit to confirm they are completely gone

When should you call a professional?

A shop-bought trap may settle the case of one mouse that came in through the garage door. But as soon as you hear scratching in the walls, droppings reappear after a few catches, the problem affects a professional kitchen or a shared building, or you can't find the entry points, professional treatment is essential. The bulk of the work isn't killing the mice that are already there: it's finding and sealing the ways in that the next ones will use.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Setting two or three traps for a population that needs ten to fifteen, spaced out along the runways.
  • Trapping without sealing the entry points: mice from nearby replace the ones caught within days.
  • Using cheese: mice much prefer seeds, cereals and sweet, fatty spreads.
  • Trusting ultrasonic repellents, whose ineffectiveness in real-world conditions is well documented.

Keeping mice from coming back

  • Seal any opening larger than a few millimetres (a mouse gets through 6 mm)
  • Keep food in airtight containers
  • Remove waste, crumbs and accessible water sources

Our results guarantee

A successful treatment isn't judged on the day itself but a few weeks later. That's why we schedule a follow-up inspection and come back at no cost if the pest reappears during the guarantee period.

How much does a Mouse control cost?

The price always depends on the survey: type of pest, surface area, level of infestation, accessibility and the number of visits required. We publish indicative price ranges in full transparency, and every quote is free, itemised and with no obligation.

Frequently asked questions about Mouse control

What is the difference between a mouse and a rat?

A mouse is far smaller (7–10 cm), grey, and squeezes through 6 mm gaps; a rat is bigger and more wary. Treatments and baits differ, which is why precise identification matters.

How do I know whether it's mice or rats?

Dropping size settles it: 3 to 6 mm and pointed for a mouse, 15 to 20 mm and spindle-shaped for a rat. Mice mostly live in partition walls, kitchen units and suspended ceilings; rats frequent cellars, sewers and crawl spaces. The noise differs too: light and quick for a mouse, heavy and distinct for a rat. Our survey settles it on site, and the treatment isn't the same.

How long does a mouse treatment take?

Allow two to three weeks, with a follow-up inspection to check there are no fresh traces. The proofing work runs in parallel: without it, the result wouldn't hold beyond a few weeks.

Can mice come back after treatment?

Only if a way in is left open. That's the whole point of proofing: we find and seal the routes — air vents, thresholds, duct openings, garage door seals. If fresh traces reappear during the guarantee period, we come back at no extra cost.
