In summer, wasps readily settle under roofs, in roller shutters or in the garden. Useful to the ecosystem, they become a real danger when their nest is near a passageway. Here is how to react without taking risks.

Wasps and hornets: knowing what you are dealing with

Wasps build "papier-mâché" nests, often grey, under a sheltered spot. A colony can number several thousand individuals by the end of the season. Near a terrace, a window or a play area, the risk of multiple stings becomes serious — particularly for people who are allergic.

The mistakes not to make

  • Never block the nest entrance: the wasps will look for another exit… sometimes towards the inside of the home.
  • Do not use spray or water on a large nest: you trigger an attack.
  • Do not intervene at height on a ladder: the fall risk adds to the sting risk.

Entrusting removal to a professional

An equipped technician neutralises the nest with the right product at the right time (often early morning or evening), then removes it. It is the only method that is both effective and safe. Discover our nest removal services and our protection products.
