Warmth, humidity and crumbs: the kitchen is a cockroach's favourite place. Discreet and fast, they reproduce at high speed. Acting at the first signs prevents an infestation that is hard to shift.
How to spot an infestation
Cockroaches are nocturnal: seeing them during the day often signals an already large population. Watch for:
- small black droppings (like pepper) along the skirting boards;
- a characteristic odour, sweet and unpleasant;
- greasy marks along their runways;
- oothecae (egg capsules) in warm corners.

The right prevention reflexes
The German cockroach seeks above all food and moisture. To cut off its supplies:
- Clean crumbs and grease every evening, including behind appliances.
- Store food in airtight containers.
- Fix leaks and wipe up standing water.
- Seal cracks and gaps around pipes.
- Empty the bin regularly.
Treating durably
Over-the-counter sprays often reach only the visible individuals, not the nests. A professional treatment with bait gel and follow-up targets the entire colony, eggs included. Discover our pest control services and our anti-cockroach products.
