Free means free: no travel charge, no diagnosis fee, no "contribution" billed if you decide in the end not to go ahead. You receive a costed proposal, you take the time to read it, and you decide. It's a matter of principle: a paid-for quote turns a simple request for information into a commitment in disguise.
A proper quote should let you understand what you're buying. Ours states the pest identified and the scale of the problem found, the treatment method chosen and the approved products used, the number of visits included, how long the work should take, any follow-up visits, the total price including VAT and the terms of the guarantee. If any of those are missing from a quote — whoever it comes from — ask for details before you sign.
